Greater Moncton bracing for Earl

Cathy LeBreton - News Staff Sep 04, 2010 09:31:19 AM

MONCTON, NB - Dark, gloomy clouds began rolling into Greater Moncton around mid-morning but for the most part it was business as usual in the downtown core.

Most vendors had arrived this morning at the Moncton Market but manager John Beck notes some vendors with tents were not planning to set up due to the impending storm.

Walkers and joggers were still present along the Riverfront Trail but many were concerned by the ominous clouds which were moving into the city.

Don Morehouse with the City of Moncton Public Works Department says crews are ready to deal with the storm.

Residents are also encouraged to call Moncton's 24/7dispatch line at 859-2643 to report any signs of flooding or other hazards.
