SAINT JOHN, N.B. - Recent health care promises made during the election have both the Liberals and Conservatives on the attack.
Liberal candidate Mary Schryer says the Tories' promise to increase the number of doctors dovetails into work done by the Liberals, such as the establishment of a medical school.
She says the Tory promise to double the number of doctors require huge infrastructure investments.
"I don't believe that Mr. Alward has really sat down and costed this out," she says.
Meanwhile, Conservative leader David Alward says doctors need to be part of the recruitment process, something that the Liberals have not done.
"That is the best way to help bring new physicians to New Brunswick and to keep new physicians in New Brunswick," he says.
