New Brunswick Conservative Leader David Alward

Alward announces campaign theme

Putting New Brunswickers first

News Staff Jul 28, 2010 14:54:36 PM

FREDERICTON, N.B. - The Conservatives have come out with a theme for their campaign for the upcoming provincial election.

Party leader David Alward announced in Fredericton today that his party is committed to putting New Brunswick first.

He stated that that over the past four years, Shawn Graham's Liberal government
has failed to deliver on several promises.

He noted that  the provincial government didn't consult with people on key issues, including the plan to sell NB Power and the elimination of the early French
immersion program.

Alward attacked the Liberals, saying they're intent on helping but a few political friends, while his party will focus on  helping all New Brunswickers.

The election is slated for Sept. 27.
