RCMP continue to look for clues in sexual assault
MONCTON, N.B. - Codiac RCMP brought in the Tri-County Search and Rescue to search the area around the home of a Dieppe woman who was sexually assaulted by a man who broke into her home. The incident happened Thursday overnight in the Chartersville Road and Fortune Street area. The woman was treated in hospital and released. Corporal Mike Gaudet says the organization helped police search the wooded area surrounding the home for any evidence. Gaudet says officers went door to door to advise residents of the search to allay any fears. He says the assault appears to be an isolated incident. He's encouraging anyone who may have seen anything out of the ordinary in the area in the last few days to talk to the RCMP.
