Dieppe woman sexually assaulted in home by intruder
MONCTON, N.B. - Codiac RCMP are looking for a suspect after a woman was sexually assaulted by a stranger in her home overnight. Corporal Mike Gaudet says a suspect broke into the 29 year old woman's home in the Chartersville Road and Fortune Street area of Dieppe and assaulted her. The woman was treated and released from hospital. The suspect is described as 5'9", weighing about 200 lbs, and was wearing dark coloured clothing. Gaudet says residents should always take precautions to prevent similar incidents. "We want people to be aware of this incident so they can take appropriate safety precautions, as far as lighting, locking your doors, and making sure anything suspicious in your neighbourhood is reported to police." Anyone with information is asked to contact Codiac RCMP or Crimestoppers. |
