Woman lied about abduction - pleads guilty to mischief
FREDERICTON, NB - A New Brunswick woman who made up a kidnapping story to explain a sudden trip to Toronto last summer will be sentenced in December. Forty-four-year-old Marcia Lynette Simmons, has pleaded guilty to a charge of public mischief. Simmons has still not said why she lied to police about being kidnapped at gunpoint. The R-C-M-P spent a lot of time and money investigating the phoney abduction complaint. |
