MONCTON, NB – No major problems have been reported during construction of Phase 2 of the Moncton Museum expansion.
But Moncton Tourism and Culture Director Ben Champoux explains the $10 million project will now open in the fall and not the summer as originally announced.
“As a result of many companies asking many questions, it delayed the posting of the RFP (request for proposals) for the second phase which pushed back the opening date by about eight weeks,” Champoux notes.
Champoux says when the Transportation Discovery Centre does open in late October, visitors can expect an interactive and educational experience.
The expansion is being funded through a fundraising campaign and all three levels of government.
