MONCTON, NB – Codiac RCMP have charged a woman and arrested a man in connection with two armed robberies this week in Moncton and Dieppe.

Police say 18-year-old Janelle Bourque was charged yesterday with various offences including robbery, attempted robbery and carrying a weapon for a dangerous purpose.

Mounties arrested a 25-year-old man in Shediac today after a short pursuit and he is expected to appear in a remand hearing tomorrow.

Early Tuesday morning, a woman entered the Needs store at Mountain and Archibald in Moncton, displayed a weapon and demanded money but left empty-handed.

A short time later, a man armed with a weapon, and a woman entered the Ultramar on Champlain in Dieppe and demanded money.

The pair got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.
