SHEDIAC, NB – Enterprise South East in Shediac is closing its doors in April.

Funding to the organization was cut after the provincial government announced that they planned on running a new economic based program themselves in another location.

President James McKenna says hundreds of clientele have relied on their services for the past decade.

“The place that you go when your looking for information on economic development in Southeast New Brunswick.  We’re basically focused on promoting the region as an ideal place to do business, strengthening our economic base and building a stronger and larger, retainable workforce.”

Six employees are being laid off but McKenna says fortunately many have already secured new employment.
