MONCTON, NB–Flights were grounded at the Greater Moncton International Airport yesterday afternoon after a bomb threat was received.

Codiac RCMP and the Moncton Fire Department responded to a threat against a specific flight, but that flight had already taken off.

The airport was evacuated as a precaution,and a search was conducted.  In the end, nothing was found.

Service resumed as usual about an hour later.

The flight which was believed to be under threat, landed safely at its destination.

An investigation is ongoing.
