MONCTON, N.B. – A Shediac man has been fined after admitting he failed to disclose property during his bankruptcy proceedings.

51-year-old Daniel Tremblay has been ordered to pay $3,000 for not telling a government regulator that he co-owned property in the Turks and Caicos Islands during the time of his bankruptcy.

The New Brunswick RCMP Commercial Crime Section conducted the investigation following a complaint from Office of the Superintendent of Bankruptcy Canada.

Tremblay has one year to pay the fine or will end up spending 35 days in jail.
