MONCTON, NB–The last wrinkle in the Codiac Transpo labour dispute has been ironed out.
The provincial labour board has dismissed a bad faith complaint that Local 1290 of the Amalgamated Transit Union had filed against the City of Moncton.
The board agreed with the City that Moncton council never ratified any proposals exchanged with the Union as of December 2010 and therefore bargained in good faith.
Mayor George Leblanc says he’s pleased to see this matter resolved and to move forward in a positive and constructive manner.
The Codiac Transpo lockout ended in December and full bus service resumed last week.

Alot of good that decision is now! How can such a simple decision take more than 6 months? Clearly the labour board is innefective and should be reviewed. When labour disputes are solved before a verdict is given, something is wrong.
