MONCTON, N.B. – Gas prices were fairly stable in New Brunswick in 2012, according to an industry expert.
Kevin McCann says the price fluctuation between high and low was only 17 cents this year.
He also says prices should remain stable in 2013.
“On the supply and demand side, it looks fairly stable for the year 2013, so I can’t see prices getting to that high mark of $1.48 per litre of a couple of years ago. That being said, there are so many other elements that affect the pump price.”
Meanwhile, it looks like the days of a dollar per litre for gas are likely over.
McCann says he doubts we will ever hit that threshold again.
