PENOBSQUIS, N.B.- An elderly couple escaped unhurt from a fire that gutted their mobile home on Boxing Day near Sussex.

 

The Canadian Red Cross says the blaze at 5 Penobsquis Loop Road  broke out around 5:30 a.m.
Wednesday.

 

They say a volunteer firefighter receive a minor injury when a medical oxygen tank exploded inside the home.

 

The couple is staying with family in the community.

 

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
