MONCTON, NB – The spirit of the holidays is alive and well in Greater Moncton.

The Christmas food box program has reached its goal of 1850 boxes.

Dale Hicks of Food Depot Alimentaire says a dedicated group is filling the boxes so volunteers won’t be needed.

“The group that was there today stayed on and they will filling the boxes.  So we want people to stay home tonight, to avoid the roads and the inclement weather.  The boxes will be filled tonight.”

Hicks says they will need volunteers to deliver the boxes tomorrow.

Anyone wishing to help out is asked to arrive at the Coliseum starting at noon.
