MONCTON, N.B. – Riders boarded Codiac Transpo buses for the first time in more than five months on Monday.

Officials say they’ve received mixed reviews about route changes, with some riders unhappy that buses no longer stop on their streets, and others saying the changes are just what was needed.

Ten routes are now up and running, with the remainder coming in January.

Senior transit planner Marie Claire Pierce says the city will continue with its taxi chit program for the time being, as they want to ensure that all riders are able to get to where they need to go while the other routes are still not in service.
