SUSSEX, NB – Skiers and snowboarders are no doubt excited about the upcoming season.
Poley Mountain has been getting ready and is set to open this weekend.
General Manager Bill Anderson says the weather has been cooperating for snowmaking.
“This week has been ongoing with snowmaking… we probably have about 100 hours of snowmaking now. We started the last week of November which is earlier than it has been fort he last few years,” Anderson notes.
Anderson says the staff is optimistic about the coming season and he anticipates three or four trails will be open on Saturday.
Crabbe Mountain opened last weekend and although it is closed this week, officials say the the hill will reopen this weekend.
