MONCTON, NB – Codiac Transpo is promising greater frequency, reduced travel times and better transfers in its newly revamped transit system unveiled yesterday.
Lucien Sivret, head of a group advocating the return of buses during the recent lockout, tells Global News he’s anxious to try out the new system even though he now has a car.
“Actually I’ll still be using the bus because it’s very hard to find parking in the downtown area… so it’s still a convenience for a lot of people,” notes Sivret.
Although no specific dates have been announced, some routes on the new bus system will be up and running before Christmas.
