MONCTON, NB – The fate of Fred Prosser continues to lie in the hands of the jury.
After deliberating for more than eight and a half hours yesterday, the jury informed the court shortly after 8 o’clock last night that they needed more time.
Justice George Rideout told the jury they would be sequestered overnight in a hotel meaning they would have no outside contact including the use of cell phones, TV’s and radio’s.
The jury will continue its deliberations later this morning.
Fred Prosser is facing three charges in the death of his ex-girlfriend Sabrina Patterson – first degree murder, sexual assault and sexual assault causing bodily harm.
