MONCTON, NB—The jury in the Fred Prosser first degree murder trial has found him guilty of all charges.
Along with first degree murder, he was also found guilty of sexual assault and sexual assault causing bodily harm.
The first degree murder conviction carries an automatic sentence of life in prison with no chance of parole for 25 years.
As well, Prosser was sentenced to five years for sexual assault, and seven years for the sexual assault causing bodily harm conviction.
The jury deliberated for ten hours.
The 33-year-old Albert County man was charged in the 2010 death of his ex girlfriend Sabrina Patterson.
She disappeared at the end of October and her body was found about a week later in a wooded area near Hillsborough.
