SALISBURY, NB–RCMP say two fires that burned within five kilometres of each other early Saturday are linked.

The mounties say officials were fighting a blaze at a vacant house on sanatorium road near Salisbury when another fire was discovered burning at a seasonal home on the same road.

They say the fires happened between 4 a.m. and 5 a.m.

Police say both fires are being treated as arson..
