BERRY MILLS, N.B. – District 11 RCMP say a man found dead a short distance from a fire at a home near Berry Mills may have been involved in setting the blaze.

The Mounties say officials responded to the fire on Isaiah Road around 3 a.m. today.

They say a woman who was inside the home at the time managed to escape unharmed.

Police say the body of a 64-year-old man was found in an outbuilding nearby, and the building had been locked from the
inside.

Officers say foul play is not suspected in his death and he may have been involved in setting the fire.

The investigation is ongoing.
