REXTON, NB – Some tense moments in Rexton this morning after school officials locked down Bonar Law High when a man was spotted outside with a gun.
RCMP Sergeant Jeff Johnston says a man was apprehended shortly after officers arrived at 8:30am and it was discovered he had a pellet gun.
“The investigation is continuing but it appears we will be laying some charges,” he notes.
Johnston says the 20-year-old man never entered the school nor is he a current student at the school.
