MONCTON, NB – The Salvation Army in Greater Moncton hopes to raise $100,000 in its annual kettle campaign this Christmas season.
During today’s launch, director Natasha Burkett says the need keeps growing every year.
“Last year we served just over 1100 children and over 500 families… so there is a lot of resorurces needed for that,” she notes.
Burkett says the money raised goes towards food, clothing and toys for children, individuals and families in need.
She adds any money leftover helps fund other programs throughout the year.
