MONCTON, NB -The weather continues to get colder and the relationship between the two sides in the Codiac Transpo lockout has never been chillier.

As winter approaches and with no settlement in sight, Moncton Mayor George LeBlanc says he would like to find a way for the disadvantaged to get around.

Leblanc says he doesn’t have firm plans yet but adds the city has to keep its options open….

“This has gone on for far too long.  You have to wonder where the breaking point is.”
says LeBlanc.

Moncton city council rejected the union’s most recent offer last week and LeBlanc says he’s hearing lots of support for the city’s position…

“I’m hearing this stronger now than ever before… people are saying don’t give in.  The wage demands the union is making are excessive and we support you and feel you’re doing the right thing here.” says LeBlanc.
