FREDERICTON, N.B. – The RCMP is releasing a picture of a pregnant woman whose body was found this week north of Fredericton.

They say they’re hoping the photo may help someone in the public who may have seen her and could have information which could assist in the investigation.

The body of 26 year-old Alicia Dawn Boone, originally of Nackawic, but recently living in Fredericton, was found Tuesday afternoon on the side of Killarney Road.

She was approximately 7 months pregnant at the time.

Police say as the cause of death is not yet known, it is considered suspicious, and the RCMP’s Major Crime Unit is investigating.

An autopsy will be conducted.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the RCMP at 1-888-506-RCMP (7267) or Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
