MONCTON, NB -  A 31 year-old Sainte-Marie-de-Kent man is facing numerous charges stemming from a couple of sexual assaults involving women who were picked up on Saint George Street.

Akili Olivier Koro returns to court for a bail hearing this afternoon on charges including forcible confinement, aggravated sexual assault and assault causing bodily harm.

RCMP say the two cases they’re investigating involve separate victims…   

One happened on September 20th and the other on October 31st.

In both cases, the victims were walking along St. George St. between midnight and 3:00 a.m. when they were approached by a man.

The women got into the man’s car, were driven to another location where the assaults occurred.

Codiac RCMP believe similar assaults in the area may have gone unreported and they’re urging women who’ve been attacked to come forward.
