MONCTON, N.B. – It appears two days of talks between the City of Moncton and union representing locked out transit workers have not produced an agreement.
The talks ended during the noon hour today.
Moncton City Council has scheduled a special meeting Thursday at 2:30pm to provide an update on negotiations.
Moncton spokesman Paul Thomson says city officials are disappointed with a new proposal the union has put forth.
Local union president George Turple declined to comment on the offer and says he wants city council to look at it first.
