MONCTON, NB – Downtown Moncton Centre-ville Inc. wants to know what impact the re-introduction of on-street parking is having on Main Street businesses.

DMCI Executive Director Anne Poirier-Basque says they will be conducting a survey starting next week.

“Some people feel that it slows down traffic, that it is a hindrance to maybe getting around downtown.  But all in all it has been very positive, especially on the retail side of it.”

Poirier-Basque says they also plan to do the survey again during the winter to find out what kind of impact snow removal will have when it comes to on-street parking.
