MONCTON, NB – RCMP in New Brunswick say they have dismantled a drug trafficking network with links to the Hell’s Angels.

Mounties say the six month operation began based on information received from the Edmundston Police Force, which believed the community was being used as a gateway for the distribution of drugs into the Moncton area.

Superintendent Guy Rook says the operation, resulted in a lot of drugs being diverted from the streets….

In all, police seized 26-thousand methamphetamine pills, about 200 amphetamine pills, roughly 1.5 kilograms of marijuana and  a kilogram of cocaine.

Sixteen thousand dollars in cash and two vehicles were also seized.

Charges are pending against eight people, seven of them adults and one who was a youth at the time of the alleged offence.

Two individuals — 43 year-old Stephane Gallant of Dieppe and 25 year-old Trevor Dow of Saint-Phillipe have already been dealt with by the courts.

Gallant, described by police as the head of the organization, has been sentenced to five years in prison for drug trafficking.

Dow has been sentenced to 3 years in prison.
