MONCTON, NB–A sentence of five years in prison has been handed down to a 51-year-old man man for stabbing a woman in a Dieppe apartment earlier this year.

Joel Maurice Leblanc appeared in a Moncton courtroom yesterday morning for sentencing.

The Dieppe man was arrested after the incident on February 5th this year that occurred at an apartment on Acadie Avenue.
