MONCTON, NB – New Brunswick beer lovers have a new brand to sample.

Hop City Brewing Company of Brampton, Ontario is launching its flagship beer “Barking Squirrel” lager in the Hub City today.

The craft brewery, owned by New Brunswick’s own Moosehead Breweries, launched the beer in 2009.

The amber lager has received gold medal awards at the World Selection in Brussels, Belgium and Best Standard Lager Award at the 2011 World Beer Awards.

The beer is also debuting in Nova Scotia and Prince Edward Island this Fall.
