MONCTON, NB – Construction is now underway on the last large parcel of land in Moncton that has been mostly undeveloped.

The first phase of Hall’s Creek Villages is being built on 260 acres of the so-called Vision Lands between McLaughlin Drive and Mapleton Road.

Developer Paul Arsenault says many lots have already been sold with construction of homes expected to start this fall.

“We see village one becoming a reality with streets going in, we have lots of equipment on site and a lot of road construction this summer and we’ve maintained a lot of the trees… so keeping things as natural as possible in an urban environment,” Arsenault notes.

Arsenault says five villages are planned and the first village is expected to mean a $50 million tax base for the city.

The first homes could be ready for residents by next spring.
