MONCTON, N.B. – It seems like there are lots of green thumbs of the criminal variety in Kent and Northumberland counties.
RCMP Sgt. Jeff Johnston says over the past three weeks, Mounties have seized more than 65 hundred marijuana plants from over a hundred outdoor grow ops.
He says that’s the equivalent of about 3 million joints.
Sgt. Johnston says harvest-time is a busy time of year and they’re not done bringing in the crop.
He says anyone who suspects a grow op in their neighborhood can contact the RCMP or Crimestoppers.
