Today marks another sombre anniversary of the 9/11 attacks…

It was 11 years ago today since the terrorist attacks in the United States left thousands dead.

Today’s anniversary holds a special place in the hearts of many in Atlantic Canada.  Airports in our region were used to land planes that were forced down after the attacks on the Twin Towers.

Residents in Moncton also voluntarily took in stranded passengers during this time of need.

A provincial memorial will be held in Saint John today to remember those who lost their lives in this terrible attack.
