FREDERICTON, N.B. – Police in the Philippines have charged a Fredericton man’s wife with murder after the 62-year-old
was shot dead in that country last month.

Martin Gamba, a spokesman for the police force, says Jane Doyle and three men in the Philippines have been charged with murder in the fatal shooting of Harry Doyle at a beach resort in Surigao City on August 12th.
    
Gamba says officers plan to ask Canadian officials to extradite Doyle, who is Filipino, but adds that prosecutors still need to secure arrest warrants before they can make that request.

Doyle could not be reached for comment.
