MONCTON, N.B. – The first day of school for many Moncton-area school kids will be a wet one.

News 91.9 Meteorologist Richard Zurawski says the remnants of Isaac has joined with a low pressure system, meaning a lot of rain overnight and tomorrow.

The Moncton area is under a rainfall warning, with up to 40 mm expected, although other parts southern New Brunswick could see 50 or 60mm.

A release from the City of Moncton says while they aren’t anticipating any major issues, crews will be on standby.
