CAVENDISH, PEI–It’s the place where beloved Canadian classics came to life.
Now the owner of the house once owned by Lucy Maud Montgomery’s grandfather on Prince Edward Island has put it up for sale.
Robert Montgomery says the home, which is now a museum , is losing money and he wants to retire.
The seven-room house is listed for $349, 000.
It has been in the Montgomery family since it was built in 1877.
