MONCTON, N.B.  – Seven men who were arrested in July during an RCMP operation targeting prostitution in Moncton appeared in court today.

They were each charged with one count of communicating for the purpose of prostitution.

Five of the men pleaded guilty and were fined $300 each, which will be donated to Crossroads For Women.

The other two men will be back in court next month to enter pleas.

The seven men range in age from 39 to 67 years, and are from Moncton, Riverview, Dieppe, Scoudouc and Memramcook.
