MONCTON, NB – The Green Party now has two candidates vying for the party’s leadership.

Roy MacMullin of Moncton has thrown his hat into the ring in advance of next months’ leadership convention in Fredericton.

MacMullin,  the party’s energy advocate, ran unsuccessfully in Moncton East during the last provincial election.

He says if elected leader, he would look to cooperate with the NDP and Alliance Parties to avoid going after the same voters….

“We would have to make some sort of agreement where in every provincial riding there was either a Green, NDP or People’s Alliance candidate, but there wouldn’t be not one of each.”

MacMullin is going up against David Coon,  who stepped down from his role with the New Brunswick Conservation Council last month.
