MONCTON, NB–A new season in the National Basketball League kicks off for the Moncton Miracles on November 4th, and the team will be bringing new strategy to the table.

A new Coach and General Manager was named this week.

Rick Benitez brings with him 27 years of coaching experience, 13 of those on the professional level.

Benitez says he is ready to lead the team to a winning season.  “I already have a team picked out in my mind.  I know what we need to be successful in that league in the NBL.  Very, very good league, very competitive.”

He is looking forward to coming to the Hub City.  “I’m very excited.  I can’t wait to get to Moncton.  I’ve heard a lot of great things about the city and a lot of great things about the league.  I’ve also heard a lot of great things about the Moncton Miracles and I can’t wait to get started.”

Benitez will attend workouts on Aug. 25th and 26th in Toronto.

The Miracles have the second overall pick in the 2012 NBL Canada draft on August  27.
