SAINT JOHN, N.B. – Any rumours that Canadian Blood Services would be impacted by the end of Acadian Bus Lines has been squashed.
It was feared that blood transportation, throughout the Maritimes, would be slowed as organization has used Acadian Lines to move their product in the past
CBS spokesperson Paul Doucet says the company will not be affected if Acadian lines does close down.
“We have a fleet of our own vehicles and existing arrangements with several other land and air carriers, as well as locally based couriers and delivery services that meet our need quite adequately. “
Doucet adds he’s more concerned about patients having the transportation they need to get from hospital to hospital for treatment.
