FREDERICTON, NB – Foul play is not suspected after body of a 35-year-old man was recovered from the Nashwaak river over the weekend.
Police in Fredericton say they responded to a 9-1-1 call concerning two people in distress in the river on Sunday morning.
Police and firefighters were able to guide a young man to shore safely, but the body of a second man was recovered around 5:00 p.m.
They say an autopsy will be conducted later this week.
