MONCTON, NB – The 2012 Atlantic Athletics Championships will be held this weekend in Moncton.

Coordinator Steve LeBlanc says the two day event will see over 300 of the region’s top track and field athletes, many of whom are gearing up for the Legion Youth Nationals in Charlottetown later this month…..

“Top to bottom, almost everybody is going to be in good form so this should be a good competition.” says LeBlanc.

This is the second year the championships have been held in Moncton and LeBlanc has nothing but praise for the Moncton 2010 Stadium.

The event runs from 1-7 tomorrow and on Sunday from 9-2.

Admission is free.
