LAVAL, QUEBEC–A man convicted of shooting a young girl in the head during a convenience store robbery in Moncton in 1987, will remain behind bars.

Patrice Mailloux appeared before the National Parole Board yesterday in Laval, Quebec, but according to the victim’s father, Ron davis, parole was denied.

Mailloux is serving a life sentence for the second degree murder of 16 year old Laura Ann Davis.
