MONCTON, N.B. – District 11 RCMP say a 75 year-old Berry Mills man was shot in the leg overnight during a violent home invasion.

Police say three armed males broke into a residence on the Homestead Road shortly before 5am.

The homeowner was shot sometime during the incident.

His injuries are not believed to be life-threatening, and the man’s wife was not injured.

Police believe the three suspects fled in a vehicle.

It’s not known if anything was taken from the home.

The suspects are described as three English males of slim build who were short to medium in height.

All three were wearing dark clothing and had their faces partially covered, and two were wearing ball caps.
