MONCTON, NB – A British Columbia man is facing two new charges in connection with a couple of bank robberies in Moncton.
Robert James Williams, 33, is accused of robbing at two Moncton credit unions, one on Mountain Road on June 18th and one on Cornhill Street on June 22nd.
Williams waived his right to a bail hearing in Moncton court today and was also charged with theft and forgery.
He is seeking legal aid and is expected to return to court on September 25th.
Williams was wanted in British Columbia where he walked away from a halfway house while serving a manslaughter sentence.
