MONCTON, NB – Codiac RCMP have released details of their traffic plan for the Nickelback concert on Saturday.

The biggest change involves the traffic flow on Front Mountain Road, which will be reduced to one west-bound lane starting at 1 p.m. on the day of the concert.

In previous years, the road was closed entirely and RCMP Corporal Mike Gaudet says they hope the change allows for better access for residents and businesses in the area, while providing a safe environment for pedestrians.

Meanwhile, there  will be no parking on either Front Mountain or the Gorge Road and tow-trucks will be standing by to remove any vehicles that are found parked in these areas.

Roads leading to the site will be blocked to inbound traffic following the show to allow for a mass exodus of pedestrians and vehicles.

Saturday’s concert is expected to draw up to 25-thousand fans.
