MONCTON, NB – There will be no shortage of family fun in Greater Moncton this weekend to celebrate Canada’s 145th birthday on Sunday.

Events in Moncton:

10:30 a.m — Canada Day “In Motion” Bike Ride presented by the City’s Parks and Leisure Department (Riverfront Park – meet at Millenium Garden behind Moncton Press Club)

12 p.m. to 8 p.m. — Kids’ PlayZone featuring bouncy games, facepainting, airbrush tattoos, and more (Riverfront Park)

12 p.m. to 4 p.m. — Canada-themed Archaeological Dig for kids presented by the Moncton Museum (Riverfront Park) Pre-registration required: 857-0590.

12 p.m. to 10 p.m. — Vendors offering a variety of food products (Riverfront Park)

3 p.m. to 10 p.m. — Vendors offering a variety of food products (City Hall Plaza)

Events in Dieppe:

To celebrate Canada Day, the City of Dieppe is organizing a number of activities for the entire family at Place 1604 on Sunday, July 1.

The festivities begin at 6 p.m. with an official ceremony followed by a concert featuring Triolet d’Nord and Blou.

Children will enjoy the inflatable games on site as well as face painting.

The evening will end with fireworks along the Petitcodiac River at 10 p.m.
