MONCTON, N.B. – Codiac RCMP say they aren’t ruling out a connection between the robbery of a credit union this afternoon and the armed robbery of another branch earlier this week.
Police are looking for a suspect after the Omista Credit Union at the corner of St. George and Cornhill Streets was robbed today shortly after 3:30pm.
The suspect was last seen running on foot east on St. George.
No one was hurt, and police say no weapon was used.
On Monday, a suspect with a weapon held up the Omista Credit Union on Mountain Road.
Police are still looking for a suspect.
Anyone with information on either crime is asked to contact Codiac RCMP at 857-2400 or Crime Stoppers at 1 800 222-TIPS.
